







WAPCA was pleased to welcome Noemie from the Mona Foundation in Spain. Noemie will be working with our team at the Environmental protection & Biodiversity Conservation (EPBC) to collect data and help with enrichment programme implementation.

WAPCA with the Wildlife Division, Wildlife Vets International and Twycross Zoo successfully health checked eleven mangabeys as part of the disease screening component of the conservation translocation feasibility study.

David, our primate keeper has travelled to Spain to work with Foundation Mona and partake in their primate keeper course. What a great opportunity. Thank you Foundation Mona and PPI.

Our Research and Education Coordinator ran a primate identification workshop with Wildlife Division officers at Ankasa National Park.

Our Cape Three Point Project Lead places camera traps with forest fringe school children as part of the Friends For Wildlife education programme.

Our Fundraising and Partner Relations Coordinator attends the World Environment Day Seminar by A Rocha and UniMAC on the role of media practitioners in reporting environmental pollution: mainly plastics, Galamsey (illegal mining), forest loss.

WAPCA visits the University of Environment and Sustainable Development and delivers a talk to over 200 students.

WAPCA held Mangabey Awareness Day at Accra Zoo. We were delighted to have so many join us including representatives from the EU, Wildlife Division and academic institutions.

The WAPCA enjoyed a three day camping trip where they participated in team building exercises including volleyball, kayaking, charades and other games.

WAPCA was again delighted to support and attend Escape Three Point Eco Festival.
